Okanagan Valley Miata Club Christmas Party
Our Christmas party dates have been set. Saturday, November 27th, any time after 5:00 pm. The location is Bev & Renold Bedards home at --------------------, Kelowna.
As in Past years we will have a fun gift exchange. Please bring a wrapped unisex gift. 1 gift per person attending and don't spend more than $10 Canadian per gift!
It is BYOB and the food will be pot luck. Please RSVP Bev as soon as possible if you are planning on attending and let her know what food item you will be bringing.
Bev has also kindly offered her spare rooms for any members from out of town who would like to come and party, but don't feel they can return home that same evening. I'm sure these are on a first come first serve basis, so don't delay while there is still "room at the inn".
Members Without E-Mail
We are now in the process of updating our membership list for the new year. If anybody knows of members that are unable to receive these electronic newsletters, please let me know. I will gladly snail-mail them a copy.
October Club Meeting
Last months meeting at Al & Helen Blowers home was fun. Al had arranged a spectacular lunar eclipse for the evenings entertainment.
Penni presented a draft of next years Sun Run T-shirt logo. I think she may have a permanent job each year now!
Still, there is time, if anyone else has any great ideas. The theme for next year is the 100 anniversary of Kelowna and the prize is a free club membership for 2005. New membership cards and window decals are being ordered for next year.
Marnie, after some tough negotiating, managed to get a reduction in the cost of Sundays Sun Run Lunch for next year in Okanagan Falls. Also, Al received a letter from the fintry society outlining the old fashion "box lunch" that will be provided on the Saturday. We will get Marnie to negotiate the final cost.
Next months meeting will be held in conjunction with the Christmas party. It should only take a few minutes!
Club Forum
Lex has added a club open forum to our website. If you have any questions or have information that other members may be interested in log on and post your ideas.
I'm seeing less and less Miata on the road these days! Mine has 2 days left before insurance runs out. Hope it is sunny tomorrow!
