Nakusp Drive & Dip Weekend
Saturday, September 6 &
Sunday, September 7, 2008
Tour Leader: Pete
This has become an annual weekend drive over some great Miata roads in the beautiful West Kootenays to Nakusp for a dip in one of BC's best hot springs.
A few members made it a day trip but most of the group stayed the night in Nakusp and took part in the Sunday activities.
First on the Sunday agenda was a visit to the Hills Garlic Festival in New Denver, where 1960's refugees and the heavenly smells of garlic and food abounded.
Next was a side trip to the ghost town of Sandon where gold mines once flourished.
