Fourteen cars and 27 people from OVMC took part in the Willamette Valley Miata Club's annual Explore Oregon event.
Thursday the group took Highway 97 and Highway 97 Alternate to get to Yakima,Washington to spend the night. Lunch that day consisted of a picnic at Lakeside Park, Chelan.
Friday morning the group followed Highways 97, WA 142, 14, and OR 35, 211, 213. to Silverton, Oregon where the event was based at the Oregon Gardens Resort. A welcome reception was held Friday evening.
Saturday there were several different runs offered, and many OVMC members chose the 305 kilometre all day run over rivers and through the woods. Others chose similar but shorter runs offered in the morning and afternoon.The banquet was held that evening, which included socializing, prizes and Silverton's mayor joining the event as a guest speaker. No group competitive event was put on this year.
On Sunday several OVMC cars started on an extended trip down the Oregon Coast and into California while others returned back to BC on individual routes.
