Six cars and 10 people from OVMC took part in the Willamette Valley Miata Club's annual Explore Oregon event.
Tuesday the group took Hwy 97, Hwy 97A, and Highway 821 to Yakima, Washington to spend the night. Lunch was a picnic at Lakeside Park in Chelan.
Wednesday the OVMC followed Hwy 97 to Bend, Oregon for the night.
Thursday morning the group took the Cascade Lakes Hwy (an Oregon scenic byway) before connecting to Hwy 97 and Hwy 66 to Ashland, Oregon, where the event was based. A welcome reception was held thursday evening at the Best Western Windsor Inn.
Friday there was an all day run to Crater Lake. Most members attended a play at the Outdoor Shakespeare Theatre in Ashland.
Saturday some OVMC members went on a run to the Oregon Caves and through woods and rivers, while others explored the area on their own. A banquet was held that evening.
On Sunday one OVMC car participated in a run to Mount Ashland. An extended return trip was taken by OVMC members with some going via the Oregon Coast, while others went on to Reno and other points in Oregon and Washington.
