West Coast Trail: Miata Style
Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 27, 2014
Tour Leader: Casey
We put on over 700 miles with no speeding tickets ('cause we didn't really speed) saw lots of great scenery, had 4 nights of happy hour and oodles of laughter. The "Peak to Peak" at Whistler was well worth the $50, we saw 2 black bears right underneath the chair lift.
Dinner at Molly's Reach was fine, but we didn't see any of the "Beachcombers" hanging out. Thanks to Karen & Mike for the nice scenic run up to Pender Harbour through some of the West Coast rain forest. The weather was fabulous for both ferry sailings, which gave us time to relax and stretch out.
Our last night was at Harrison Hot Springs where we were treated to special reserved parking, and a nice, quiet adult healing spring spa. Dinner was at the Copper Room with dancing afterwards (even Bill & Steve danced). On the way home via Highway 3 we hit an amazingly heavy rainstorm at Keremeos. Good thing Bill & Jadine put their top up just in time.
