A grand total of 24 cars made the trek to Larch Hills Winery for a wine tasting. Located near Salmon Arm, Larch Hills Winery specializes in cool climate wines, as they are B.C.’s northern-most and highest-altitude winery. After sampling their wines, we set off for Herald Provincial Park for a picnic lunch before trekking to Margaret Falls. With spring run-off in full swing the falls were an impressive sight. After lunch people were free to return home however they chose. Many of the members returned via Salmon River Road, while others decided to try out Yankee Flats Road, a very twisty road destined to become a staple of our route planning through that area. In all, it was a truly great day spent with simply terrific people.
