Al and Bev’s niece Brianna was visiting so I decided to take her on a South Okanagan run to see what “Miating" was all about. We made it into an impromptu run and invited club members to join us. Five cars met at Bliss Bakery for coffee, and then proceeded top down to Penticton where 2 more Miata’s joined us. We then went to Frog City Cafe in Kaleden for a good lunch where another Miata joined us. Brianna then led us up the back side of Okanagan Falls to Blue Mountain Vineyards with their beautiful views. Brian was kind enough to give us a history lesson on the buffalo hunt off the cliff of McIntyre Mountain which was in view from the winery. We then proceeded to Liquidity Winery, a modern or “fusion” type of place. From there we stopped at Tickleberry for Ice Cream, which everyone enjoyed. We all followed Steve back along the McLean Creek Road and onto the East Side Road back to Penticton where everyone found their way back home. Brianna enjoyed the company and said that everyone made her feel welcome.
